Starting with a brand-new Silverado 2500 Z71 loaded with every available factory option, we worked closely with the owner to create the ultimate touring, adventure and off-grid platform capable of tackling anything Australia can throw at it.
Custom BK Canopies Service Body
The foundation of the build is a fully custom BK Canopies service body designed specifically around the customer's requirements.
Storage and functionality were at the forefront of the design, featuring:
Three oversized heavy-duty storage drawers
Stainless steel work benches
Custom-built gun safe
Slide-out coffee machine station
130L upright fridge
Microwave
Extensive custom storage solutions throughout
The result is a canopy that combines practicality, comfort and serious touring capability while maintaining a clean, premium finish.
Premium Off-Grid Power System
To support extended remote travel, we designed and installed a complete off-grid electrical system built around the latest Redarc technology.
The system includes:
Redarc Alpha 100 charging system
Custom 620Ah lithium battery bank
460W solar charging
3000W inverter
Multiple charging and power distribution circuits
This setup provides more than enough capacity to comfortably run the fridge, appliances, lighting and accessories for extended periods away from mains power.
Water, Air & Touring Capability
Built for long-distance touring and remote travel, the Silverado was equipped with all the essentials required for life off the grid.
Features include:
Over 100 litres of onboard water storage
ARB onboard air compressor system
Integrated air tank
Digital airbag control system
Onboard tyre inflation capabilities
Whether towing, touring or tackling difficult terrain, the air management system allows complete control at the touch of a button.
Long Range Fuel Capacity
To maximise range and reduce fuel stops, we fitted a Brown Davis long-range fuel tank, giving the owner the confidence to explore further and stay out longer.
Complete Lightforce Lighting Package
No dream build would be complete without exceptional lighting.
This Silverado received a full Lightforce lighting package including:
2 x Lightforce Beast driving lights
2 x Lightforce Genesis driving lights
1 x 50-inch Lightforce LED light bar
10 x Lightforce ROK20 Ultra Flood work lights
Side and rear scene lighting
4 x 1-metre diffused LED strip lights throughout the canopy
The combination delivers outstanding visibility both on and off the road while providing excellent campsite and worksite illumination.
Roof Rack & Recovery Setup
To complete the package, the Silverado was fitted with:
Custom canopy roof rack
Wedgetail roof rack system
Offroad Animal bull bar
Carbon Offroad winch
Providing additional storage, vehicle protection and recovery capability when venturing off the beaten track.
