Ram 1500 multi purpose build
This latest RAM 1500 project was designed to serve multiple roles, including SES and fire-fighting support, site operations, and off-grid touring and camping.
The goal was to create a reliable, self-sufficient vehicle capable of supporting emergency response activities, remote work requirements, and recreational touring without compromise.
Custom BK Canopies Service Body
The foundation of this build is a premium BK Canopies service body, providing exceptional storage, organisation and accessibility. The service body layout allows equipment, tools and emergency response gear to be securely stored while maintaining easy access in the field.
Complete Off-Grid Power System
To ensure the vehicle remains operational wherever it travels, we installed a comprehensive Redarc power management system featuring:
Redarc RedVision vehicle management system
200Ah lithium battery bank
200W solar charging system
Redarc 2000W pure sine wave inverter
240V charging system supplied by 12V Direct
This setup provides reliable power for tools, communications equipment, emergency response gear and camping accessories while allowing full monitoring and control through the Redarc RedVision platform.
Safety Lighting for Emergency Response & Site Work
Safety was a major focus of this build. We fitted a comprehensive safety lighting package designed to improve visibility during roadside operations, emergency response situations and site work.
Additional Lightforce rock and area lighting ensures excellent visibility around the vehicle when operating at night or in low-light conditions, improving both safety and functionality.
Onboard Air System
An ARB Twin Brushless Compressor paired with an integrated air hose reel provides a convenient onboard air solution for tyre inflation, equipment operation and field servicing requirements.
The brushless compressor delivers industry-leading performance while maintaining reliability for demanding applications.
Built for Work, Response & Adventure
One of the unique aspects of this RAM 1500 build is its versatility. Whether supporting SES operations, assisting with fire-fighting activities, working on remote job sites, or heading away for a weekend camping trip, this vehicle is equipped to perform.
